Dhammakayi Buddhist Temple in Asuza California will hold its 13th Celebration of the Theravadan Vesaka Puja (Vesak Day). This is the day believed to be the date of Buddha's birth, enlightenment under the Bodhi tree and his death.
There will be over 200 Theravadan monks as well as monks and nuns from several different traditions offering chanting in respect and thanks for what Buddha has shown us.
The ceremony starts at 6:30 pm. It is well attended so arrival much earlier is recommended.
